“Ah..” said George upon hearing it.
“Want me to call Mary?” asked Malee. George shook his head immediately. “I just want to discuss something with her.” continued George when Michael came into the kitchen. His clothes were drenched with sweat and was carrying a large basket full of dirt. He must have been working in the garden, thought Malee. George noticed Michael too and asked him , “Have you seen Georgia?”
“Yes. She was walking with mum towards the corner of the garden.” replied Michael, wiping the sweat from the brow. Malee took a glass from the cabinet and a bottle of mineral water from the fridge and gave them to Michael. Michael took the bottle and emptied it instantly without using the glass from Malee’s other hand. From his answer, everyone knew where they could be going. There was a small fish pond and a hut by the corner of the garden where they used to play when they were children.
“Thanks.” said George before leaving them to follow his sister and Mary.
“What was that about?” asked Michael. Malee shook her head. She wasn’t sure why Georgia came over to meet with Mary or why was George chasing them. After all, he could have just called them. It must have been something important that he needed to converse with them face to face. His face looked worried as Malee and Michael noted after hearing that Mary and Georgia were seen walking towards the pond.
