Planet Vova did not emerge from the night. It’s only solar star had disappeared.

It had been orbiting the star for billions of years without any issues and no one on the planet suspected anything amiss. Vovoms , that was what they called themselves , did not realize till their morning came. There was no star rising from the west.

Frantically , a planetary-wide meeting was called for and orders were flying at every directions. Eventually , they decided to send a space ship through the atmosphere into the space to see once and for all if the star had truly disappeared. The large size of the planet means they only had one chance to fire a space ship with enough fuel to escape the gravity.

Scientists were gathered from all corners of the planet to work on the space ship. Even then , it took more than ten years before the outer shell was built and further ten more years before it was completed. Finally , the rocket was launched and then near the atmosphere of the planet , it hit the wallpaper and exploded , killing all the Vovomnauts.
