Look Ma! There are people in the sky!

A lone voice shattered the silence among the crowd of people in the middle of the city. There was no sound because their mouths were opened from the sight in front of them. The sky as they know it no longer there. Instead , there was a giant mirror that surrounded the earth.

After initial quietness , came the screams. Then there was chaos. It took a few days before people had become slightly gotten used to the fact that there was indeed a mirror in the sky. Gossips replaced the initial panic as questions were being raised to the nature of the mirror.

First and foremost , how can there be light since the mirror has taken the place of the sky? Eventually , it was settle that due to unknown reasons , the light from the sun reach to the ground as if the mirror were not there and same for the moon and stars and so on. It was just that those could no longer be seen or detected by any instruments on earth.

Then come the question of who or what constructed the mirror and whether it could be destroyed. After shooting several nuclear missiles , the later part of the question was answered but not the former.

Eventually , the mirror was gotten used by majority of the people on earth till someone noticed something strange about the figures in the mirror. After all , it was assumed that for such a perfect mirror , the reflection in it must be the perfect representation of what is on the ground.

That someone was Tom. This was his story.
