I arrived at the resort fully an hour after touching down at the airport. The shuttle-bus from the resort was waiting at the airport with the signboard of my name in the big red letters. After a few pleasantries , we exited the airport and towards the ferry where I understood the boat was waiting for me. The resort was entirely situated on a small island , totally cut-off from the main island. It made it very exclusive in any sense of the word.
When the boat touched the wooden rows of plank , the sun was already about to set in the west. It took another 10 min before myself and the luggage were brought into the room. The dinner would be served shortly , or so I was told by the bell-boy when I handed the tip. I unpacked my bags and took a quick shower before going down the stairs to the main lobby for the dinner.
The dining room was at the right side of the lobby , which I gathered from the map on the wall of my room. It seemed I was the first of the guests to have arrived and I took a seat near the back of the large mahogany table. As I was early to the dinner , I had sometimes to myself to look around the room I was in.
The dining room was larger than I had anticipated , considering how supposedly exclusive the resort was supposed to be. I counted no less than 20 chairs planned for that night. The room was fully lighted and there were candles prepared on the table for the dinner later. There were also several paintings on the wall of unknown people , which I assumed at that time were of the owners of the resorts and their immediate families.
Soon , the my fellow guests arrived one by one into the room and took their respective seats.
