The faint light we noticed was getting brighter as we advanced. Slowly but surely we would be out of the tunnel in no time. As the light got brighter , our hearts beat faster and the steps quicker. All the issues we have encountered and the darkness itself was falling away. Then we reached the end , which Mrs Jamie pushed with her hands to open it and we were surrounded by the sea , sun and the sweetest smell of flowers I have ever had the experience of.

“See I told you so. We are in the garden behind the resort , ” said Mrs Jamie after turning around to face me with the triumphant voice.

I was too breathless from the walking in the tunnel to reply so I simply nodded. Once , I was able to breath again , I stood tall to stretch my body and revel in the warmth of the sun light after spending hours in the cold room and then another a few hours in the dark. It was great to be alive , I thought.

“Shall we head back to the resort? They must be worrying now for both of us , ” asked Mrs Jamie.

“More like mystified , I would say. Imagine a man bound in tight ropes and locked in the cold room simple disappeared , ” I replied cheekily.

We both shared a hearty laugh at the thought and made our ways towards the resort front door. On the way , I happened to notice that the post box was empty as it seemed to be source of the whole mystery. We reached the front door not long after and Mrs Jamie knocked on the door twice. But it was unnecessary as the door was already opened and we walked into the lobby in our smelly , dusty clothes.

Imagine the scene when everyone in the lobby , we could see all our fellow mates were there , and looking at us as if they were seeing a pair of ghosts. A few glasses were dropped and no less than half of them had their mouth opened wide enough to swallow an egg whole. It was apparent most of them , if not all of them , had already assumed our demise from the disappearance. General Lee was the first to compose himself from the shock and came forward to take both of us to the sofa and offered the drinks. The rest came forward and crowded around us soon and all were eagered to hear from us what happened and how we came from the front door after disappearance.
