I was too worn out from the ordeal but clearly to all those present that Mrs Jamie wasn’t. She emptied the cherry in one mouthful and ordered another glass to complete it. She was out of breath but not out of energy and definitely not out of her mind. And from the looks that I received , it was certain to me that I was out of the suspect list since I reappeared mysteriously with the person that I was supposed to have killed!

Suddenly , the lobby was full of energies again , just like on the first night. General Lee managed to calm down everyone and gave us time to explain ourselves. We , actually it was mostly Mrs Jamie , told the rest our adventure and the mysterious doors and tunnels throughout the resort building. And to top of it all , we showed them the two secret door that we have discovered so far.

We agreed that it was too late to do any more exploring but tomorrow we will spread across the resort to find out of such secrets and their designs. Just as we were about to leave for our rooms , General Lee spoke.

“I think we should all sleep in the lobby tonight. The perpetrator , whoever he or she might be , now knows we have found out the secret. This time it is possible we may all be killed altogether.”

Although the thought of everyone sleeping in the lobby wasn’t the idea we loved , we acknowledged the idea behind the suggestion. With everyone in the lobby , it would be hard for anyone else to make any suspicious move or attempts. Even taking down the pillows and such , General Lee suggested that we formed a human chain from the rooms to the lobby so that at anytime , everyone was visible to everyone else.

That was how we spent the night in the lobby under the full light of the grand chandelier. Ladies on the sofa and men on the floor. General Lee and a few other volunteered to stay awake for the night on rotation shift and the result of all that was that the night went by peacefully with everyone accounted for by the time sun rose on the horizon.
