It has been more than 100 thousand years since the Humanity , of the last remaining , left Earth to venture out into space. The search for new home was the message sold off to the dying , sick and the old that packaged and sent to far away destinations but it was essentially an escape from the dying world. Earth was dying at the end of the 35th century. Smoked filled cities occupied the top layer of the surface while the poor struggled below the metal plate holding the enormous factories. The privileged wined and dined above the clouds with clear view to the artificial surface below using the projections to hide the death and destruction below.

Many a times , bands of disgruntled peasants would came together and tried to rise up a revolution but they were stopped ruthlessly by the UWO , United World Organization. Finally , in AD 3215 , old structure came down with the killing of UWO’s chief and world was truly united once more. Peace and love didn’t last long as it was discovered that UWO had fully exhausted the Earth’s natural resources since and had been planning to escape Earth altogether to outer planets of the Solar System. The fate of the planet and those who lived below the surface would be sealed together. But the findings were not to be wasted. It was a ready made solution to the planetary crisis that was the Earth and in no time , ships were leaving Earth to the per-programmed destinations. For the next 100 years , humanity survived by spreading around the outer planets in small colonies. Then one after another , left for the stars.

Major Lee Vinomy was the second-in-command of the advanced scout ship , Swordfish , when they encountered the alien signal near the outskirt of the spiraling galaxy near Androneda. With the crew of 3 , he was to locate the source of the signal and to find out more about it. Upon locating the source to a small rocky planet surrounding the nearby , he ordered the ship to prepare to land on the surface All the scan showed the same answer , the planet was teeming with life but none seemed to be intelligent enough to send signals to space.

One of his officers picked up a piece of nearly corroded metal piece from the ground and scanned it for any intelligence. It returned ,
