Writers’ Journal #157 – Fried Potato – 41

After dinner, Mary packed her belongings in her room, admittedly she had nothing there to speak of as being belonged to her, in a bag and went over to the main house. Mary was already there in her room, preparing the bed and once completed, she came over to Malee’s room to help her to do the same. Malee noted in both of their rooms, there was a phone which Mary explained to her that they were connected directly to George and Georgia’s bedrooms. Master and Mistress would be assisted by their own servants, whom Malee had seen accompanying them to various outings. As Malee tried to sleep in the  new bed, she thought of what she had heard during the dinner.
