“Lets do some shopping before going back.” suggested Michael to which Malee readily agreed. That was her intention before the sudden mini-riot in the morning. Perhapps , she might bump into her friends once again in the mall. She nodded to the suggestion and followed Michael into the mall. It was indeed just as what she had seen in the news and television, new and shiny with full of youngsters around their age wearing latest model of the fashionable clothes.
“Wow!” muttered Malee as she looked around in wonder at the latest mall with the high-end stores all around the several floors.
“Why? Havn’t been out shopping for a while?” asked Michael with a smile and twinkle in his eyes.
“No. Have been busy with the exams for the whole of this year!” exclaimed Malee with her entire body shaking in excitement.
“Then go ahead. Spoilt yourself. Take this card.” said Michael, giving a credit card to Malee.
“Whose card is it?” asked Malee. She had seen cards before for buying items for the family, but not that card that Michael was giving to her.
“Its from George. He gave me to spend for the garden.” said Michael.
“Then I shouldn’t use it. You can have it back.” said Malee, holding the card back to Michael.
“Its ok. After all, you won’t have to spend much anyway. He owns most of the brands through their fund.” said Michael.
“What about the mall itself?” asked Malee.
“Not totally, but I heard they have a majority in shares.” explained Michael. Malee wondered how much more they could own, adding to what she knew. It seemed she could sense the twins everywhere she went. The family seemed to own everything that she could see in the capital, including the police. And knowing the master, probably the government was under their command as well.
