George continued walking towards the door and Malee need not be told a second time to open the door with her fingers. The door opened with the smell of cleaning chemicals rushing out to greet them. Malee squeezed her nose and walked into the door to look at an enormous room with a large wooden desk at the head of it. The room must have been uncleaned for a while, for she could feel the dust gathering on the surrounding cupboards. She looked around for a cloth to clean it, but stopped by George.
“You are not here to clean. Ask her to arrange a cleaner.” said George. Malee nodded and did as she was told. Soon, there were several women who came into the room and started wiping away the accumulated dusts from the furniture.
“What do you think of the office?” asked George.
“Its enormous, but how do they know who you are?” asked Malee. It was cleared to Malee that that neither the lady outside the room, presumably the secretary, nor the cleaning crew had seen them before but somehow they were obeying to their commands.
“Well, not everyone can access the lift.” smiled George. Of course, Malee thought to herself. There was another lift outside the room, which was probably how the lady got up to this floor. Malee would know who else would have access to the finger scanner system and Michelle wasn’t one of them.
