“You have an idea? , ” replied I. Curious as to what kind of idea that might be. If I were to give a suggest then , I would have said get everyone else , proved them my innocence and then showed them what we have found. But then again , she saved my life so I supposed she deserved to be heard.

Feeling hungry from all the exitement she had , Mrs Jamie came down again to the dining room to look for food. Not able to find any , she realised there was a rope at the corner of the room and pulled it several times to call for whoever might still be in the servant quarter. Then the familiar sound was heard again. That time loud and clear to her exactly what kind of sound it was. So she turned around and loked begind the wine cabinet where the sound came from. Shre enough , there was a visible gap where a person could fit in.

In any case , I couldn’t make any noise as my teeth were busy knocking each other. I realized she was wearing an all white nightgown , looking like an angel. She came towards me and untied my hands and feet and pulled me up. I was too stiff to move at first but slowly came out of the cold room with Mrs Jamie acting as my walking stick.

It was so loud and sudden that I nearly dropped the dress I was holding. I quickly turned around to see the faces of angry people who were fully intended to swing me from the tree outside. I realised immediately the situation I was in. A well-liked guests was nowhere to be seen and the last person who was seen with her was also in the room with her dress in his hand. I was sure it would have been ended in a very ugly situation for me if I couldn’t tell them otherwise. So I cleared my throat and opened my mouth but before I could mutter a single word , I was violently pushed on the bed.

The room was bright with sunlight but as I suspected , there was not a soul to be seen. I put down the breakfast plate on the table near the door and walked towards the bed , with my eyes looking at everywhere. The bed itself was smooth as if no one has tucked in for the night. I made a mental note as I saw Mrs Jamie went into the room with my own eyes when I accompanied her to here last night.

I knocked twice again when there was no sounds coming out from the room. When I knocked the third time with more force , the door creaked. I was so stunned by the realization that I had to take a step back. With the kind of events happening at that time , I couldn’t believe that someone would leave the door opened , not the least of Mrs Jamie. She gave me the impression of a very cautious lady and someone who would plan ahead two or three times before taking any actions.

It was stuffy and the air was damp once we stepped into the secret door. We immediately realized that we came in without any planning as the first problem we had was that we were completely blinded in the darkness. Fortunately , I had brought my phone and used the flash light at the back to give us some sense of direction.

I looked back at the sofa where Mrs Jamie was lying a few moment ago saw it empty. She was standing besides me , with her mouth wide open. She looked at me and I looked at her. Suddenly , all those turned up missing with a puff started to make sense. Somehow , the culprit must have used those secret rooms (or tunnels?) to carry the bodies elsewhere from the resort.

The murderer and the bodies in resort building. The thought of it chilled both of us. I looked around in hope that I could find some clues or whatever but I couldn’t see anything amiss. In despair , we walked down the staircase towards the dining room when Mrs Jamie suddenly collapsed. The only reason she didn’t fell down the all the way down the stair case was because her hand caught the knob at the upper stair.

With that piece of information , we bade him goodbye and goodnight and left in more confusion than ever. If he was being summoned then by whom? He must known that person or else he wouldn’t have trusted him to bring the sherry. More importantly , that person must be one of the guests!
