“So …. what do we do now?” , Mrs Smith whispered.<\/p>\n
“We go to bed. Take a good rest and tomorrow , we can start a fresh day with a fresh set of mind” , I replied.<\/p>\n
“That seems like a good idea” , said a gentleman near the fire place.<\/p>\n
After almost everyone had left , Mrs Jamie turned around and came back to me. “You know , why don’t we ask the butler about the boat? Maybe he ordered some items from the mainland and it is delivering tomorrow?”<\/p>\n
“I don’t think so but why not?” , I replied. Together , we went to the kitchen to ask the butler of the boat.<\/p>\n
But he was nowhere to be seen. Alarmed , we went about the house looking for him but he too seemed to have been completely disappeared.<\/p>\n
“That is strange. Where could he be?” , I asked.<\/p>\n
“You think ..” , paused Mrs Jamie.<\/p>\n
“I do not think before I know the facts. It is a bad habit like what Sherlock Holmes preached. Lets gather the facts first.” , I stopped Mrs Jamie in middle of her thought. “When was the last time you saw him?”<\/p>\n
“I remember seeing him serving the beer to Mr Thomson just after the meeting had ended. It couldn’t have been 5 minutes between that and his disappearance.”<\/p>\n
“Then shall we go to Mr Thomson and ask him more details?” , said I.<\/p>\n
We then climbed the stairs and to Mrs Thomson’s room at the middle of the left side of the long stretch of corridor. We knocked on the door and waited for it to be opened by a tall, slender man of above average age and look. He was wearing a red slippers and was already in his pajamas. He was surprised to see us since the meeting ended with the conclusion to go to bed straight away.<\/p>\n
